My name is Tom Davis, I am 19 years old and I am a poet. I live in southampton in Hampshire.
This site has been put up as a way for talented poets to get their work seen and noticed (which I know is very hard!!!)and for fans of poetry to be able to read the works of undiscovered talent.
So get writing and put your works of art on this site for people to see and who knows you may just get yourself published!!!
I kind of discovered my love of poetry by mistake I was homeless and huddled in a doorway trying to keep warm one cold winter morning when suddenly my first one just came to me. There was no thinking involved, no struggle trying to work out any mistakes or problems it just came to me and was ready. From then on I spent everyday writing and creating.
My time on the streets and my time in prison has left me with a lot of experiences that deserve to be turned into poetry so that is what I am doing. My love of poetry has really inspired me to change my life, I am no longer on the streets and getting into trouble instead I have enrolled to go to college and study A-levels. It has really turned my life around.
